Trey Turner is an electronic and breakbeat DJ and producer out of Austin, TX.
Having grown up in Houston and transplanted to Austin in 2000, he began working with like-minded locals under the name Zoobeats Collective to throw underground and public events while expanding his musical horizons. After forming a tight bond with crewmate and (then) progressive house DJ Cody Haynes, the two grew tired of the monotony in their “4 on the floor” dominated genres and in 2001 left them behind to work together and explore the world of broken beats.
The two began working under the moniker Fracture and have since compiled and made available over a dozen breakbeat mixes spanning multiple genres and subgenres which are available on the nurevolution studios website. Over time, Trey began working with several other local DJs including JJ Stonebraker (DJ^3) and Mitch Burton (Contrast), and Fracture became the artist name for any project involving Trey.
In May of 2008, Trey co-founded Carpe Noctem, a regional burn theme camp which produces events each year at Flipside, Austin’s miniature version of Burning Man. He is currently posting frequent updates to the podcast and is available for booking via the contact page.

Carpe goes hard in the paint at Flipside 2011: A Bad Idea. We make lots of new friends, dispense a unhealthy amount of potent liquor and whompage, and manage to survive to do it all again another day.
Loads of new mixes if you haven’t dropped by the podcast section recently, including some very worthwhile joints by Tonebreaker and Trey Turner. Hit the jump for direct links or head over to the podcast section and browse around.
Joseph Noctum drops some serious audio damage on the podcast, just in time for the holidays.
We hope everyone is gearing up for a terrifying Halloween! Our treat to you in 2010 is a new hour…
